MIND is well known for its outstanding neuroscience-based educational program, ST Math. As an innovative organization, we continue to explore possibilities of learning mathematics for different age groups and bringing cutting-edge ideas into educational technology.
Under the leadership of Dr. Matthew Peterson, a team of eight of us came together to create a series of animated prototypes catered specifically to middle-school students, supporting a new classroom learning platform. Diverging from MIND's familiar elementary ST Math style, we opted for a more mature comic style to captivate and engage middle-school and high-school students, encouraging them to learn math through enjoyable reading experiences.
As the sole artist on the team, my primary responsibility was collaborating with the content writer and interaction designer to create visual prototypes for a three-layer learning collaborative. This included developing a comic book and an animation video designed for classroom use.
